I started learning to skate and play hockey with my twin sister, Mackenzie, when we were 2 1/2 years old. Our exposure to hockey was probably planned before we were born by our parents, who grew up in Minnesota and Ontario, Canada. I love getting the opportunity to play hockey, it is such a unique sport that combines strength, agility, decision-making, and teamwork. It presents me with an opportunity to bond with teammates, compete, and continue to improve as an athlete.
